MASSIVE ATTACK - Heligoland

The Standard find this album boring for long stretches, the Rolling Stone calls it majestically in parts. Two adjectives that can be close so the other leg. Both aim well from the slowness of the music of Massive Attack but now absolutely nothing new. But she has something Worn here, as I have never heard of them before (I admit, the previous Album "100th Window" I do not know). Melancholy, they have always been on "Mezzanine" they were sometimes angry. I am surprised at how little
in part to these songs do. Somewhere in the second half at one point that remains is the singing voice. I was actually of Massive Attack always detailed, varied and embellished (as "lush" is not quite the right word) arrangements used to.
Somehow it all sounds on "Heligoland" after resignation. Someone has struggled sought and failed or stalled. The circumstances allow him or not her. It is what it is. Additionally, you can, as Damon Albarn here complain or like everyone else, do one in this case remains - sing the blues (which is often the same). So I'm back at Rolling Stone. But Majestic I do not hear here anyway. I had to think of something like the pride of the music - even when nothing else works, I can still sing.
